Some highlights of our Sunday's sermon as we heard about "giving HOPE for the family". All of our families need additional hope and help, especially as we become His 'Best family", which turns into a blessed family!:
Our minister Tim Platt used the the letters which spelled out B-E-S-T:
BLESSINGS - (which means using well words) - I Peter 3:9 - "Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing."
EDIFYING - (which means to build up) I Thessalonions 5:11 - "so encourage one another...."
SHARING - Ephesians 5:21 - "Honor Christ by submitting to each other......" (speaking to husbands and wives).
TOUCHING - Ephesians 5:31 - "husbands, love your wives..........wives, respect your husbands....."; Ephesians 6:4 - "parents, don't keep scolding and nagging your children, but rather bring them up with loving discipline...."
We need to touch one another physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
