Today is Friday, April 11th, 2008; Karen's Korner #1290
Time for a little religious humor; emailed from Dorothy Riekens yesterday:
Reverend Ole was the pastor of the local Norwegian Lutheran Church
and Pastor Sven was the minister of the Swedish Covenant Church across the road.
Yesterday they were standing by the road,
pounding a sign into the ground, that read:
'Da End is Near! Turn Yourself Around Now! Before It's Too Late!'
As a car sped past them,
the driver leaned out his window and yelled,
'Leave us alone, you religious nuts!'
From the curve they heard screeching tires and a big splash.
Reverend Ole turned to Pastor Sven and asked,
'Do ya tink maybe da sign should yust say
'Bridge Out'??

Pretty cute, don't you think? Regardless of who we are or how old we are, we might be closer to the 'bridge out' sign than we think!
