Today is Saturday, June 7th, 2008; Karen's Korner #1330

Beginning the first of January, Clarion has had weekly community prayer times. They are hosted at different locations, at various times and days of the week. While the prayer times have never had more than nine people at any one, we have had maybe three dozen different people join the community sessions at least one time.

God is faithful; being at each one!

At Wednesday's noon prayer time, Sonja mentioned, "This morning when I woke up, God, I heard the birds singing in our backyard. I knew that it was going to be a good day."

This morning when I woke up, I heard the birds singing. Not the same birds, but their same tunes and I thought of God and Sonja's words of a couple of days before.

The birds aren't concerned about the spring weather and too wet fields or any farm ponds. They don't seem to notice any changes in their lives, community, or world governments. They just sing!

Maybe they know something that sometimes I forget:  God is in charge! The sun is shining! It's going to be a great day!
Psalm 100
 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

Worship the LORD with gladness;
       come before him with joyful songs.

 Know that the LORD is God.
       It is he who made us, and we are his;
       we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
       and his courts with praise;
       give thanks to him and praise his name.

For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
       his faithfulness continues through all generations.

(Normally, no Saturday Karen's Korner, but I missed Tuesday while I was in Des Moines. I like to send five Karen's Korners per week to help with my numbering processes; thus the Saturday edition!)
