Today is Thursday, March 12th, 2009; Karen's Korner #1524

While we were traveling, I took along several books to read. One was a book given to us by author Roy Reiman titled "I Could Write a Book.....". It tells of his life story of starting more than a dozen magazines including Farm Wife News; Country; Taste of Home, and Quick Cooking. His most recent lauch was OUR IOWA magazine for which I do a bit of reporting and writing as Wright County's Hawk-eye reporter.

Slipped in the margins of each page are some or Roy's collection of one-line thoughts.

Here are a handful of my favorites:

* Many people would like to move mountains, but few are willing to practice on small hills.

* "In the midst of difficulty lies incredible opportunity."  ~ Albert Einstein

* If you want to stay out of debt, act your wage.

* If you want to feel rich, count all of the things money can't buy.

* Before you score, you must have a goal.

* One kind word can warm a whole month.

* The manner of giving is often worth more than the gift.
