When I walk up and down the country roads near our home, our dog Sparky enjoys the walk with me.
If Sparky sees a bird, squirrel, or rabbit, he ALWAYS chases after them. He NEVER catches them.
No matter; he continues the chase. He ALWAYS believes he can catch them!
What a matter of faith and hope!! He NEVER gives up....
Dear Father in Heaven, help me to be more like Sparky. Help me to run with wreckless abandon and joy as I chase after the known and the unkown. Help me to always believe the best. Help to believe that there is only good things out there waiting for me; things that I can catch and touch.....if I but chase after them. Remind me that faith is always believing; some things will turn out like I envision. Some things won't: some will be better than I could ever have imagined; others will never be. I choose life! I choose happiness! I choose Your Love, Your Joy, Your Hope! Regardless of how that package might appear when it is delivered to me. In the Name of Your Son Jesus Who showed us what path to travel and what direction to look. Amen.
