Let not our appreciation of God's grace

dim in our desire for righteous character and loving service. 

We are not called to sit forever  at the table,

but to get up and clear the table for others. 

We are saved to serve - -

Jesus found greatness embodied in servanthood. 

He got up from the table and washed His desciples' feet. 

Jesus was the man for others. 
 
May we not spend so much time with loaf and cup

that we neglect basin and towel. 

May we give to others and not count the cost to us.
