Want to know what joy and anticipation looks like?

I saw it in Molly, our four-year-old granddaughther, who stayed with us for a few days this weekend!

When she was playing in our basement, she discovered our orange plastic two-person sled. She took it down and sat in it, pretending she was sliding and sledding down snowy hills and knolls. She brought it upstairs and sat in it another handful of times. I propped it against the dining room wall so that it would take less walking around room.

Now and then, she would ask, "Grandma, do you think it is going to snow today? I think it is going to snow. Don't you?"

Unfortunately, as we get older, our aniticipation and joy for some things wane!

But everything doesn't have to!

What is on the top of your list (my list) of things for which you anticipate? Hope for? Work? Believe?

Can you sense it? Feel it? Hope for it? Sit in it and visualize it?

Dear Father in Heaven, help me to be like Molly! I want to anticipate and believe the unbelievable. Give me a sense of purpose, a sense of anticipation, and a sense of excitement. So many unbelievable things can become realities when we believe and anticipate. Thank You for giving us the hope, joy, and anticipation of a child. In Jesus' name. Amen.
