Today is Thursday, September 15th, 2011; Karen's Korner #2154

Several days ago I rode my bike a couple of miles southwest of our farm home, to a black top road.

It is so much easier to ride on the hard-surface than on gravel roads.

As I turned to come back home, not one did I have loose gravel to contend with, I also had the wind in my face.

Harder trek going back home than it was coming that direction in the first place.

I liked the easier path.

Father in Heaven, thank You when you give us smooth sailing, wind to our backs and the sun over our shoulder. Help us to thank You when our journeys are easy. But also help us to praise You when our paths become 'gravel, wind in our faces and sun in our eyes'. We know that you are the Giver of both. Our tendency is to trust You more when the journey is more difficult and forget about You when the travel is easy. Thank You that today is a day to celebrate, regardless of where we have been asked to 'pedal'. You make 'all things possible because we trust You and Believe. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
