Today is Friday, February 17th, 2012; Karen's Korner #2260

A couple of things which might make you smile today:

One of the last times our granddaughter Molly was at our home. she spent a little time studying a map which we have stuck to our dishwasher with magnets. The map shows the Middle East and is divided with one side showing 'Then' at the time of Christ; the other side is marked 'Now'. Map studiers can see Mesopotamia, Babylonia, Canaan, and others on the B.C side, and the likes of Iraq, Syria, and Saudi Arabia on the Today side.

Kindergartner Molly, who is Iowa born and bred, said after her studies, "Grandma, I have looked and looked and I can't find Des Moines."

From a ' pass along'  which I received this past week; this is one from the items:

"When my daughter, Kelli, said her bedtime prayers, she would bless every family member, every friend, and every animal (current and past). For several weeks, after we finished the nightly prayer, Kelli would say, 'And all girls'. This soon became part of her nightly routine to include this closing.

"My curiosity got the best of me, and I asked her, 'Kelli, why do you always add the part about all girls?'

"Her response, 'Because everybody always finish their prayers by saying, 'All Men'!"
