Today is Tuesday, January 7th, 2014; Karen's Korner #2732
Yesterday I was inside and outside, despite the cold. Had some things that I had to do both places. Not outside very long at a time.
After I was inside for awhile, I couldn't find my cell phone which is usually in a small pocket in my purse.
Then I thought, "I know where it is. I put it in the pocket of my overstuffed, too large jacket."
As I dug through the pile of out-of-doors clothing, I again thought, "I know it is in here because I put it there."
Sure enough I pulled it out of my right pocket.
What about spiritual things like joy and peace. Do we ever whine, "God, where is my joy?"
His gentle reply, "It's still inside you. It's my gift to you. I put it there."
We have joy, peace, kindness, His love........and dozens of others! Whether we feel like it all the time or not! He puts it there when we become one of His Followers. One of a lengthy list of His Gifts.
Like any gift, we simply have to accept them! Use them....

Dear Lord, thank You for the way that You take care of us as Your Children. We have so many spiritual gifts, which You have given to each one of us. Your plans so far exceed anything we could have expected nor experienced. Help us to use and enjoy those gifts wisely; and learn how to share them with others. In Jesus' name. Amen.
