We got an assignment in our church sermon on Sunday. We are to read John chapters 14 - 16 and Acts chapters 1 - 5. Our sermons have been on the Holy Spirit. Most of know quite a bit about God and Jesus, but what about the Holy Spirit?

Can't see I have ever had a worship service assignment before. If I have, I don't remember.

So I thought last night I'd embark on it and read John chapter 14.

"Jesus told Thomas, 'I am the Way---yes, and the Truth and the Life. No one can get to the Father except by means of me.'"

Bible Commentary: "Jesus says He is the ONLY way to God the Father. Some people may argue that this is too narrow. In reality, it is wide enough for the whole world, if the world chooses to accept it. Instead of worrying about how limited it sounds to have only one way, we should be saying, 'Thank you, God, for providing a sure way to get to You.'

"As the Way, He is our path to the Father. As the Truth, He is the reality of all God's promises .As the Life, He joins His divine life to ours, both now and eternally."
