Yesterday I had two medical tests:  a calcium scoring and a check of my carotid arteries; both advised by my doctor as a way to maintain as much good health as possible.

It was amazing to me, lying on the hospital bed and listening to my heart beat over the speaker. We all know that our hearts beat but to listen to its regularity, magnified hundreds of times! It reminded me to be thankful for something I have taken for granted for decades....tha-thump thump; thump thump, thump thump.....Amazing!

My niece and her husband are having a baby in mid-August. This is the week that they learn whether it is a boy or a girl. That little baby is already experiencing the 'thump thump'. Amazing!

The Bible says, "We are fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, I know that full well!" (Psalm 139:14) We know it, but it is 'wonderful' to be reminded!!
