I was guest at a Fort Dodge church on Sunday, as I visited a long-time friend and former Clarion resident.
The legacy of Mother Teresa lives on, as the pastor mentioned her in his sermon:
"We are called to be but a small pencil in the hand of God;
writing a love letter to the world."

The quote brought me back to a perpetual flip calendar which I hadn't looked at for a couple of months. Here are several of her words taken from "Heart of Joy":
"Christ must be the light that shines through you,
and the people looking at you must see only Jesus.
You have a challenge from Jesus to meet:
He has shed the light, and you will take the light
and lighten every heart you meet."

"We should give thanks to God for what He has done in us,
with us,
and through us.
We should thank Him for using us to be His love and mercy."
