Today is Friday, November 26th, 2004; Karen's Korner #425

A couple of more thoughts on being thankful and Thanksgiving.

These are from a flip calendar of mine on dates near the end of November:

*  Thanksgiving was never meant to be shut up in a single day.

* The music that can deepest reach, and cure all ill, is cordial speech. -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

* Seeds of discouragement will not grow in the thankful heart.

And then some more of your comments of things which you are thankful - good and bad things:

God taking good care of me; all God has given me over the years; for the medical profession, medical researchers, and lots of medicines and medical procedures; for breast cancer diagnosis this spring; for doctors, hospitals, and clinics; for special friends; for a special mentor; for grandparents and grandchildren; for a successful surgery and for physical therapy; for bodies that can heal; for the simple smiles of others who we meet as we walk on the streets of our local community, shop, and run our errands; for peace time and for wars; for strife in the world; for those dedicating their lives to protecting us and for defending our freedoms; for everyday challenges and difficulties; for learning how to trust God when things don't come my way (the way I want them!); for needing God in my life; and for Him always being there for me.
