Bible Commentary:  "All people die physically, but Christ died so that we would not have to die spiritually. His death affects our past, present, and future. He has forgiven our past sin; he has given us the Holy Spirit to help us deal with present sin, and he promises to return and raise us to eternal life, in a world from which sin is banished."
