A portion of the commentary on this one verse says, "Humbling ourselves means recognizing that our worth comes from God alone. We do not deserve His favor, but He reaches out to us in love and gives us worth and dignity, despite our human shortcomings."

Sometimes we falsely believe that we don't have the ability to memorize or remember like we used to. Or meybe never did!

All of us have heard of people who have memorized an entire book of the Bible. Or maybe the whole Bible! But I didn't know anyone personally who had done this. Until a week ago!

Reggie Simmons, a Clarion - Goldfield graduate of 2006, has memorized the entire book of Revelation; all 22 chapters! In the last six months. He is a FedEx delivery truck driver, so he has a lot of 'drive time'. He said he reads a portion over and over. Eventually, he records himself and listens to it and begins repeating it out loud with himself.

Anyone who lives near Clarion is invited to hear Reggie's recitation on Saturday, August 23 at 6 p.m. - Clarion Church of Christ, 420 North Main. The presentation will include two musical selections by other family members. It will take about 90 minutes.
