Sometimes fun to look back on a previous Karen's Korner. This one was from today's same date - March 11, twenty years ago!
At the time, we were supporting Jacob and Jaynie Michael who were missionaries in Africa. A few years later, they retired from their mission work and moved to Ohio. When a group from our church and our area traveled to see the Ark and Creation Museum, the twosome met the group there both days, because they were so close.
The message will cause you to remember. More than once, I think! Good for a smile....
Today is Monday, March 13th, 2006;
Karen's Korner #756
Our church mission and outreach committee has selected and currently supports eight ongoing monthly outreaches. One missionary family is currently working in Africa, Jacob and Jaynie Michael.
Here is a short pass-along email sent from them last week:
My little boy sometimes had difficult bowel movements. One day, we were browsing together in a novelty and gift store. There were many wooden signs of "words of encouragement"
hanging on display.
Suddenly, he pointed to one of the signs and said to me, "Mum, I think we should get this one and hang it in the toilet." I looked at the sign he was indicating.
It read:
P. U. S. H.
"Pray Until Something Happens."
Might be a reminder for us to pray at other times, too!
