Here is a devotional written by Rev. Jeff White and emailed to his readership in March:
 

Pray for all people, asking God for
what they need and being thankful to him.

1 Timothy 2:1

    

    I’m helpless and it’s hopeless.  Think about it, I can’t feed all the hungry.  I can’t help all the homeless, I can’t heal the sick, I can’t stop the dying from dying.  What good am I?

     The Holy Spirit says, in II Corinthians 1:11, “you also joining in helping us through your prayers, so that thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf for the favor bestowed on us through the prayers of many.”

     Thanks be to God that I’m not helpless, I’m powerful.
