A good devotional thought by Jeff White:

"We all have wandered away like sheep;
each of us has gone his own way.

~~ Isaiah 53:6

I have a Border Collie.  Every fiber of his being speaks to breeding. He is a product of his genetics. He is designed to herd sheep and even his play reflects his life’s purpose.  Left on their own.sheep wander mindlessly until they are lost or eaten by wolves.  The border collie is bred to keep them together in the safety of the flock.

We are much like sheep. On our own, we wander mindlessly away from God, seeking our own desires. God provided his word, through the Holy Spirit, to help keep us in the safety of the flock.

     Even though we choose, how could a loving God send people to hell?!?
     People do not go to hell. Sinners do. The rebellious do.The self-centered do.
     So how could a loving God send people to hell? He doesn’t. He simply honors the choice of sinners who have wandered from the flock.
